Roadrunners’ thoughts about stress

The results of the 60-second stress survey

174 Nazareth students were surveyed regarding their current stress situation. The bad news is that nearly 40% of those surveyed reported almost always feeling stressed. The good news though, is the way that students handle their stress.

Just over 60% of students surveyed say they power through and do the best job possible or they create more realistic goals for themselves when faced with stress.

Only 18% admitted to shutting down or blowing off their responsibilities as a response to their stress. Still, 11% of students surveyed have allowed themselves to get physically or mentally sick because of stress.

For the majority of those surveyed, school is their main source of stress with tests and quizzes and the day-to-day workload causing the most stress. Life outside of school was the main cause of stress for 7 students surveyed.
