On the morning of February 25th, Junior Danny Metzger checked the ACT website to find out his score for the ACT test that he took on February 8th at St. Joseph High School.

His score was nothing short of perfect – a 36.

Metzger knew the tutoring sessions and practice tests would be helpful, but he didn’t expect that his hard work would pay off that well. “I could not believe it! I didn’t think I was gonna get a 36 on the test. I was hoping for maybe a 34, but of course I was happier to get a 36,” said Metzger.

Many are curious to know the secret behind getting a perfect score. When asked if he had advice for juniors taking the ACT this year, Metzger said, “Take consistent practice tests; they improve your time and score a lot.”

Receiving a 36 on the ACT has broadened Metzger’s options for where he may go to college. Though he doesn’t have specific schools in mind yet, he knows that he wants to major in either engineering or computer science.
