Teacher Spotlight: Ms.Conroy

Teacher Spotlight: Ms.Conroy

Josh Knight, Staff Writer

Naz welcomed many new teachers this year, including Ms.Conroy. She is a part of the religion department and teaches New and Old Testament.

Ms. Conroy was born in Texas, but lived out a majority of her life in Cleveland, and received her Master’s Degree in Theology at Xavier University in Cincinnati.

Although she was raised in the South, she always wanted to move to Chicago. She made her way towards Chicago when she took her first teaching job at Scecina Memorial High School. Eventually she made her way to Nazareth.

Ms. Conroy was already familiar with and enjoyed the Sisters of St. Joseph, due to her time at St. Joseph High School in Cleveland. She enjoys Nazareth and sees it as a friendly, well organized place where she can spread her love of Theology to the young minds here at Naz.

A couple of fun facts about her are that her favorite food is mac and cheese; her favorite band is U2; and her favorite show is Game of Thrones. She sees herself still teaching here at Naz in ten years time.
