Freshman Hannah Guinn stands out as one of the youngest members of the 2012 Varsity Girls Soccer team, who recently won their first East Suburban Catholic Conference championship.
Q: What is it like to be a freshman on the varsity soccer team?
A: It’s very exciting. I enjoy the challenge and love the team.
Q: How long have you been playing soccer?
A: I have been playing soccer for eleven years now.
Q: What position do you play?
A: I play forward (offense).
Q: How old were you when you started playing soccer?
A: I was only four years old when I first started playing soccer.
Q: What was the most memorable moment of the season so far?
A: The most memorable moment was our game against Caramel. It was a very important game, we won two to one and placed first in conference.
Q: How has your winning record affected the team?
A: We are much more confident, but we still know that we need to work hard if we want to go all the way.
Q: Do you think the Nazareth soccer team will go far in the state championship? How far?
A: Yes, I think we will go very far because we have had an undefeated season. We are determined to go all the way to super sectionals.
Q: How do you think the coaches feel about your season so far?
A: They are proud of us, but they are still really hard on us because they want us to succeed.
