So many people,
from the hopeful to the covetous
all wanting something.
Each and every one of them.
Whether it be jewels and wealth,
or elation in knowing more of the capricious persona that is life around them.
Well, let them create their stories
of glory and justice.
Let them wonder of an existence
rich in precious meaning.
Let them fantasise
of a purely better world.
Now, look into the sun
and have its rays blind you, the oblivious.
For although they overlook reality,
at least they can dream beyond the physical,
when it is all that even you can see yourself.
Q: What was your inspiration for this piece of art?
A: Without a doubt, I find my inspiration in the abstractions of the world-those concepts and emotions that cannot be seen or heard, but play such a part in the dealings of our lives that they cannot be forgotten in the chaos of the physical aspects that are often so apparent that they shroud all else.
Q: What is art to you?
A: My definition of art is similar to most others’ in that it is an outlet of creativity that cannot be expressed through ordinary means. For me personally, however, it extends so much further than that because of how natural the arts are meant to be as reflections of the author, actor, or musician and who they are and what they stand for. The arts should not have to be thought about, but rather should come as extensions of oneself and what needs to be said to the world.
