Naz hosts annual FISH Prom

Bridget Lockie, Staff Writer

The Nazareth community excitedly anticipated the FISH Prom, which took place on Saturday, March 11th. The FISH Prom offered a special and unforgettable night to teens with disabilities in our surrounding area.

This special event was spearheaded by a group of teachers and several Nazareth seniors. Alongside this group, several additional committees of Naz students were formed to help create a perfect night for these teenagers. Some Naz students were responsible for gathering items for a gift that will be given to Prom attendees. Another committee was in charge of organizing donations from local businesses and community members. These donations were used to fund the night, including games, refreshments, a D.J., and more.

Perhaps the most fun group of all, is the “buddies” who spent the night with an assigned Prom guest. The “buddies” were Nazareth students, who shared a perfect evening with another Prom-goer.

The Naz Family enjoyed a night filled with many laughs, fun conversation, and great memories.
