The Golden Globes took place on Jan. 10. Lady Gaga, along with Leonardo DiCaprio, both stole the spotlight and received Golden Globes.

This evening was a milestone for Gaga’s acting career because this award marked her first Golden Globe.

She was nominated as a best actress in a limited-series or TV movie category and was pitted against Sarah Fay, Felicity Huffman, Queen Latifah, and Kirsten Dunst. Gaga won for her role in American Horror Story: Hotel as The Countess. Every American Horror Story fan and Gaga fan celebrated after impatiently waiting since the show’s Oct. premiere.

When she was declared the award recipient for this category and walked toward the stage to deliver her speech and accept her award, this moment suddenly became the joke that took the internet and social media by storm: Leo’s side eye.

It appears as though she brushed by him and accidently shoved him.

Leo made quite a startled and humorous face, little did he know it would become a sensational moment.

His reaction became the subject of hash tags, newsfeeds, memes, and talk show gossip. Simply, it was something that everyone found funny and laughed at. What it did not do, however, was detract from the support of Gaga’s fans or the appreciation the artist herself felt.

In her thank you speech, Gaga stated that she wanted to be an actress before becoming a singer, but her music career worked out first. Because of this, she was emotional, happy, and surprised at her win.

Hopefully, this won’t be the last of her acting awards, and as her career continues to evolve, she’ll continue to act just as she dreamed she would.
